NEW LIFE

In a coastal village, a violent alcoholic man dies one night on his way home. The next morning, his wife, Maria, wakes up as a young woman. For her grown children, this inexplicable transformation is even harder to bear than their father’s death.

Fearing the judgment of the village, they take Maria back to her childhood home in a remote mountain village in the north. There, her mother and brothers decide that she must start her life over — by marrying her off again.
