THE DICTATOR'S DREAMS
Albania’s communist dictator suddenly wakes up unable to speak Albanian. Instead, every word that comes out of his mouth is in Italian — the language of the fascists he despises. Unable to face the public or much of his own cabinet, he and his wife devise an elaborate deception: they select a lookalike to take his place.
Meanwhile, citizens across the country begin having eerily similar dreams about the dictator. As the epidemic of dreams spreads and allies turn into enemies, the dictator is forced to wage war against sleep itself.
